Towards the parish church,on the South side of the High Street, Parliament Square can be found via a cobbled pend.

This tiny enclosed square is so named as it seems that in 1346 the Scottish Parliament held an emergency meeting here following the defeat of King David II by the English at the Battle of Neville's Cross.
