On a visit to Peebles, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to open spaces and park land - whether it's to play, picnic, relax or walk the dog, there is a great choice ... just off the High Street you will find Tweed Green on the banks of the river Tweed. On the opposite side of the river is a smaller area of parkland with a childrens play area. This is situated next to Kingsmeadows Car Park.
Also just across the river (there are two bridges adjacent to Tweed Green) is Victoria Park.
Just a short walk East of Tweed Green along the riverside you will find Whitstone park with a selection of football pitches and home to the town cricket club.
Walk West from Tweed Green on either bank of the Tweed and you will arrive at Peebles' biggest and best park - Haylodge.
It's a little further from the town centre than the others but it's not far (easy walking distance) - there is a car park beside Haylodge Park - find it just on the Western outskirts of town on the Glasgow road.
