History
In the history of the Tweeddale Rovers there have been many players of note. James French who played eventually for Raith Rovers. Douglas McDonald who was approached by senior clubs but preferred to remain loyal to his club. The brothers Tulloch, who emigrated to Australia, joined Gregor Grant (another former Tweeddale Rovers player) at his adopted club Chelsea. Both George Nichol and David Drummond had international trials at Lesser Hampden. Alistair Grant received international honours playing for the Scottish Banks against England, a game they won. The youngest player was 'Cookie' Cockburn who at the age of fifteen scored twice against Pencaitland.
