From Tweed Green, follow the path upriver past the swimming pool and through Hay Lodge Park. Continue past Neidpath Castle. You can either cross the river via the viaduct and make your way back downriver via the forest path (or, if you are brave enough, through the long and dark disused railway tunnel)

Or you can continue along the river and cross the manor bridge further upstream (see old manor bridge via sware and Tweed )
